Dental Technology Consultants- owned by Lorne Lavine, is an incredible resource for Practices looking for a One-Stop-Shop for all of their technology needs.  His blog found on www.TheDigitalDentist.com is updated frequently and always has good information.  Lorne and his Team are responsive in the moment, creative in their solutions, and take into account the individual needs of their clients.  I can’t recommend them higher, based on my interaction with them in the past, for my technology troubleshooting needs.

Drop the PPO- Sandi Hudson provides a valuable service for any Practitioner currently participating with Dental Insurance plans, or considering participation.   Analyzing insurance participation can be overwhelming- she simplifies the process, guiding you into making good decisions.   Her regular blog entries are must-reads, and she may be available as a Guest Speaker for your group.

Exceptional Dental Practice Management- Linda Zdanowicz, CDA is an invaluable resource for any Dental Professional interested in staffing and Practice Management issues.  She makes regular blog posts addressing issues that come up each and every day.   Her blog site also has a long list of resources, as well as links to the articles she has had published in respected dental journals.  Practice Management 101 begins with a stroll through her site.  Linda is available for remote consulting as well.

The Quality Dental Plan or “QDP” is a Dental Discount Plan, created by Dentists, for Dentists.  I was initially a real sceptic, but after hearing the response from patients I discussed this offering with, I am now a true believer.  It is a fantastic tool to offer your patients who are uninsured, underinsured, with plans you don’t participate with, or who would like an alternative to dental insurance (and many do!).  Tailored to your practice, it is a powerful addition to your payment offerings.  Patients also love it!  Visit www.qualitydentalplan.com to see the site your patients will see, and you can contact Dan Marut for more information about the plan.  I accept no referral fees for this recommendation, and offer it with much enthusiasm.

Spear Center-  A phenomenal Institute with a group of exceptional full time Faculty, as well as a list of dedicated Mentors, many of whom are leaders in their craft and are clinicians you will already be familiar with.  Spear Education site has a series of valuable videos on their video blog, featuring Frank Spear among others.  Gary DeWood, Lee Ann Brady, and Steve Ratcliff of Pankey fame are in the core group.  After meeting them at Pankey, I was thrilled to hear they were going to be part of the Spear Center.  The atmosphere of generous information exchange, while being supported by your peers takes your work to a whole new level.  The live courses are dynamic, and the support staff work very hard to help make a new operatory a home away from home for you.  The facility is beautiful, and the two resorts that are connected to the facility are lovely and within walking distance of the Institute.   Well worth the trip.

Dental Town is an online community of Dental Professionals, and also has a written publication.  From questions and answers posted in the forum section, to CE opportunities, there is a wealth of information found on this site.  To connect with a supportive group of your peers, this can be an excellent resourse.  Some threads are ones I might not be a reader for, but there are countless others that are most certainly print-worthy!

New Docs- Dentistry’s Professional Social Network- an online community created by a Dentist, for Dentists.  This new resource is a wonderful addition to the tools available to New Dentists.  Belonging to a Community of fellow Clinicians with similar needs, allows you to tap into the lessons that your peers have already learned, as well as to share your own experience and knowledge.  A huge library for      downloadable documents specifically targeted to the New Doc is available to you.

SDG Labs- Casey Caddell with SDG Labs in Colorado built this website, and is phenomenal to work with.  If you are looking for a web designer with creative ability, patience, and integrity, Casey is your guy.  Referred to me by another consultant, who also had him build her husband’s Practice site, I have to say he made the process as painless and affordable as possible.  I could honestly characterize the process as a pleasure!  I really needed the ability to make my own edits to the content, while retaining him for assistance with things I either do not have the time or the skill to perform myself.  Casey with  www.thesdglabs.com was most certainly an answer to prayer!
